Abdominal pain is a very common problem that you feel between your chest and groin. Majority of people experienced abdominal pain at some point in their life. If the pain is severe, it should not be ignored. Although abdominal pain can arise from the tissues of the abdominal wall that surround the abdominal cavity. Sometimes pain in abdomen may arise from the organs that are close to such as Kidneys, lungs, and ovaries.

Intestinal illness is the most common problem and symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, and fever.

Cancer of the colon, stomach, or pancreas are serious and may cause mild pain.

Food poisoning occurs due to the presence of bad bacteria in abdomen.

Abdomen pain can be caused by overeating or dealing with a stressful event.

Pain can occur due to an obstruction of the intestine, swelling of the liver, improper blood circulation, stones in kidney.

Lactose Intolerance, Ovarian Cancer, Ovarian Cysts can contribute to pain in abdomen.

Abdominal pain that occurs during menstruation may be from menstrual cramps or it may indicate a problem in a reproductive organ.

Appendicitis is the most worrisome cause of sudden abdominal pain.

Other factors like stomach flu, constipation, indigestion, hernia may cause pain in abdomen.

Treatment:-
Appropriate treatment of the abdominal pain depends upon its cause. Here are some home tips: For the first few hours you should avoid solid food and try to take clear fluids. In case of indigestion, antacids may provide you some relief and you should avoid fried or greasy foods, tomato products, caffeine, alcohol.
